My mindfulness journey
Like most of us, I fought mainly with myself. Constant thinking, poor concentration at work or studies and sometimes days when nothing made sense to me.
I had a hunch that meditation and mindfulness could help me, and I tried it for years, but practically without results.
Then came a difficult period. I told myself that if there was ever a time to fully commit, it was now. I started to devote myself intensively to meditation, going through courses, retreats (and later training) in the Czech Republic and abroad ( list here ) and also researching what works for me and what doesn't and coming up with my own 'upgrades' of standard methods. I realized things that are rarely mentioned, even though they are essential for meditation to be effective.
And it started working. I became able to prevent excessive stress and depressive states. The level of focus at work increased dramatically. And over time, I noticed that I judge myself and others less and feel more understanding and content.
My life isn't perfect, but I feel a lot better about it since I started meditating.
And because I believe (and now I know) that if it worked in my life, it can work in others, I created this project after a long period of my own practice and education. I started with occasional meditation sessions for colleagues at my original job, and as time progressed, I started running courses for groups both in Czech and internationally.
