My mindfulness journey
Like most of us, I fought mainly with myself. Constant thinking, poor concentration at work or studies and sometimes days when nothing made sense to me.
I had a hunch that meditation and mindfulness could help me, and I tried it for years, but practically without results.
Then came a difficult period. I told myself that if there was ever a time to fully commit, it was now. I started to devote myself intensively to meditation, going through courses, retreats (and later training) in the Czech Republic and abroad ( list here ) and also researching what works for me and what doesn't and coming up with my own 'upgrades' of standard methods. I realized things that are rarely mentioned, even though they are essential for meditation to be effective.
And it started working. I became able to prevent excessive stress and depressive states. The level of focus at work increased dramatically. And over time, I noticed that I judge myself and others less and feel more understanding and content.
My life isn't perfect, but I feel a lot better about it since I started meditating.
And because I believe (and now I know) that if it worked in my life, it can work in others, I created this project after a long period of my own practice and education. I started with occasional meditation sessions for colleagues at my original job, and as time progressed, I started running courses for groups both in Czech and internationally.
Education
I am a certified mindfulness teacher I am the first and only one in the Czech Republic to be certified by the British Mindfulness Association to teach the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC).
I also have accredited training in transactional, transformational and NLP coaching, I have completed methodological courses for informal education trainers and a number of other courses and retreats. (list here)
I practice mindfulness every day in my life, I regularly continue my education and also attend workshops and courses on other methods in order to offer the most comprehensive view possible.
I complement mindfulness mainly with movement techniques that help release accumulated stress and emotions from the body. So if you expect that you will just sit quietly the whole time on my course, you will be surprised :)
Over 800 people have already completed my training programs. I have experience in leading workshops and courses for the public and work groups. I also organize international courses for psychologists and youth workers from different countries.
I know what bothers people in the workplace and what can help them. I previously worked in project management in the fields of education and sustainable development. I led a team of 20 people who promoted changes towards climate protection and sustainable consumption in 9 countries. I also coordinated the Pioneers into Practice training program, which supported large companies (such as IKEA, Zásilkovna or T-mobile) in implementing environmentally friendly practices in their activities.
